A study conducted by Jackson-Stops estate agents included 500 prospective homebuyers planning to relocate within the next three years.
The survey revealed their top priorities, which also encompassed convenient commuting options to work, and proximity to a school with a high Ofsted rating. Participants could choose up to five preferences.
If we exclude location, the top four property features desired by homebuyers, each scoring 30 per cent, were a ground floor bathroom, a spacious garden, a dedicated workspace at home, and pre-installed energy-saving solutions like solar panels or intelligent boilers.
