Coronation in Birmingham

Birmingham will celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III and Camilla Queen Consort on 6 and 7 May.

Birmingham city council has confirmed that Centenary Square will host a party fit for a king, with an outdoor stage and live entertainment over the bank holiday weekend.

A fun fair including rides for all the family, food concessions, street entertainment and picnic areas, along with a giant screen will be on offer for everyone to soak up the party atmosphere.

The national broadcast of the Coronation will be displayed on the giant screen at 11am on 6 May. The party continues into the afternoon and evening with celebratory choirs, dance troupes, tribute artists and much more until 9pm.

The following day, the Coronation Concert will be screened live from 1pm, along with a feast of live entertainment.

Hanbury Hall:

Hanbury Hall are hosting a picnic in games to celebrate to Kings Coronation! Hanbury Hall makes the perfect place to relax on the lawn with a blanket. Challenge friends and family to traditional lawn games including skittles, draughts, and dominoes.

They do recommend you pre-book your visit to Hanbury Hall. You do not need to book the coronation activities.

Kings Heath:

Kings Health Elim Church are hosting a Messy Church Coronation, where there will be crafts for the children to take part in between 4pm-6pm.

Sandwell:

The Coronation Big Picnic Lunch with the Mayor at Sandwell Valley, Sunday 7 May 4pm
The Sandwell Valley Coronation Big Lunch will be a picnic with the Mayor and all are welcome. Residents can bring sandwiches, snacks and drinks and join the Mayor celebrating the King’s Coronation.

Bromsgrove:

To celebrate the King’s Coronation, Ascotts and No3a will be hosting a street party in the centre of Aston Fields.

The road will be closed directly outside both businesses so everyone can celebrate British themed day, full of games, music and activities for all ages.
