Great Birmingham 10k run.
Taking part in this year’s Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10k was our very own Marie Smith from the lettings team.
The city centre run took place on Sunday 30 April and brought a party to the streets of Birmingham, taking runners on a course that passed some of the city’s most iconic landmarks including the Bullring, Edgbaston cricket ground, Millennium Point and Cannon Hill Park. The challenging run attracts thousands of runners as well as spectators, who lined the course to encourage everyone taking part.
Completing the run in a fantastic 64 minutes Marie has been raising funds for the MPS Society, the just giving page is still live so please do show your support and help to raise as much money as possible for this great cause.

About the MPS Society
Founded in 1982, the Society for Mucopolysaccharide and related Lysosomal Storage Diseases (the MPS Society) is the only national charity specialising in 25 very rare Mucopolysaccharide (MPS) and related Lysosomal Storage Diseases (LSDs) in the UK. It represents and supports over 1,250 children and adults suffering from these diseases, their families, carers and professionals. MPS and related LSDs affect 1:25,000 live births in the UK. One baby born every eight days is diagnosed with one of these multi-organ storage diseases which cause progressive physical disability and, in many cases, severe degenerative neurological deterioration resulting in death in childhood.
