Charity Event – Barnt Green shoppers drop in for tea and cake
The Barnt Green Letting’s office was transformed on Friday afternoon into a fabulous tea room filled with delicious treats – all to raise money for two incredibly important causes. Macmillan Cancer support and The MPS Society.
With generous customers and colleagues donating cakes and bakes – including a beautiful house cake and a rainbow cake that make the display look spectacular, the Oulsnam Letting’s team raised a fantastic grand total of £312.00.
Of course, it wouldn’t have been a charity day without a competition or two, and our event was no exception. The judging was made all the more difficult due to the number of entries but after much deliberation it was decided that the winners were:
Marie Smith, Senior Lettings Negotiator, for her rainbow explosion cake and Karen Crayton, Senior Sales Negotiator, who took home the award for best bake for her delicious fruit cake.
Speaking about the event on Friday, lettings manager Laura Fiddes-Baron said.
“We would like to thank everyone who came to the event and donated so generously, coming out for a piece of cake in the sunshine. We are very proud of the charity work that we do at Oulsnam Lettings and we feel it is incredibly important for us to give something back. We were really overwhelmed with the support from the local community on Friday, helping us to continue to raise money for our two charities of the year.”
