The lettings market continues to boom
The boom in the lettings market in Birmingham and Worcestershire which started in January has continued into March reports Andrew Oulsnam, Managing Partner of Robert Oulsnam & Company. Calls to the lettings department were running at 700 per week at the end of last year and have risen to nearly 1500 in the last few weeks. We have never known it as busy as this.
Many types of property are letting within two to three days of coming onto the market such is the demand. One of the biggest factors is the difficulty in obtaining a mortgage particularly for first time buyers which is forcing many people away from purchasing a home.
Another factor is Birmingham will see the opening soon of the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital where we have already seen a significant number of new tenants who will be working there.
We are very keen to get new properties to let and so if you are thinking of letting, please phone our lettings department on 0121 445 7410.
