Now is a good time to sell your home
With a raft of reports from different institutions released over the last few weeks giving very conflicting news on the state of the property market, the question I am often asked is “when is it a good time to sell my home?” reported Andrew Oulsnam, Managing Partner of Robert Oulsnam & Company.
Recent reports have indicated that house prices have both risen and have fallen so far this year but critically with the Bank of England releasing figures showing an increase in mortgage lending in the last few months, certainly that is our view said Andrew Oulsnam, the eight offices we have reported very good sales months in April and May when we had expected quite a poor period with the general election and uncertainty over the new government.
One most noticeable feature is there has been a surge of properties coming onto the market over the last few weeks with the cancellation of HIPS, coupled with a surge in sales and at this point June looks like being the best months for both new instructions and sales for about three years.
We are very aware of the importance of correct pricing and marketing to ensure an early sale of a property. Although the news from the government is not good with the pending cuts in the budget, there is lots of good news about with the World Cup and it is highly likely we will see a further surge in the housing market once the World Cup is over.
