Buoyant January Housing Market
There has been a surge in the level of enquiries in the Housing Market in the first few weeks of January reports Andrew Oulsnam, Managing Partner of Robert Oulsnam & Company. Levels of viewings and general enquires has shot up and there has also been a big increase in the number of homes coming onto the market for sale.
December is always a quiet month for the housing market with the modern family more interested in Christmas. This was further dampened last month due to the snow and flu.
What is particularly pleasing therefore is the marked increase we have seen in January. Levels of sales are also now starting to rise and we can start to be more optimistic over the coming months.
Prices are not rising and are unlikely to rise significantly this year. Realistic pricing is still the key to an early sale.
