Lockdown restrictions easing is a welcome occurrence for Barnt Green locals. The popular Barnt Green Sports Club has been slowly able to re-open their facilities after being closed earlier in the year following lockdown restrictions.

Initially the outdoor tennis courts were allowed to re-open in May. However, strict precautions were in place to ensure the safety of visitors. Each court must have been booked in advance using the online court booking system. Similarly, following Government guidelines, you could only play singles or doubles with members of your immediate household. This news was released to the sports club’s eager customers via email and website update.

Following on from this, once the Government guidance was relaxed further in July, the sports club opened up the badminton and squash courts, along with the previously mentioned outdoor tennis courts. However, the courts were not back to running as normal, and social distancing guidelines were to be adhered to strictly. Similarly, all courts must be booked in advance via the online system.
