Redditch Continues to Build on Growth

Redditch is a growing town in north-east Worcestershire, about 15 miles south of Birmingham city centre. There has been a lot of development in the town in 2018.  New housing estates have sprung up in the sought after Webheath area due to its close proximity to open fields and general countryside / suburban vibe.

As of September 2018, the average house price (for all property types) in the UK was £232,554. Whilst Redditch is a touch behind at £210,179, the average house price (for all property types) increased by 2.7%.*

Who's Buying in Redditch?

It's no suprise that with the increae of new-build homes, first time buyers are opting to settle in Redditch.  This is likely to have had an impact on the average new-build house price.  In fact, the average price of a new-build home in Redditch is almost £80,000 higher than existing properties.  This may have something to do, of course, with the type of housing stock being built to meet the requirements of young families.

You can get a new, four bedroom detached family home for a hugely competetive price compared to other nearby areas.  Additionally, you're also benefitting from easy access to the many parks and open spaces in the town, as well as super quick transport routes to the City.

Redditch has the flexibility of being a practical commuter town, as well as a long-term option for those looking to put down more permanent roots.  We are quite convinced that these house price trends will continue into 2019 as more and more investment and development is undertaken in Redditch.
