How is the Region Faring in 2019's Market?

We know that the West Midlands property market is performing really well at the moment.  Both average house prices and the time taken to sell new houses on the market have increased and decreased respectively.  This continues to bode well for houses in the areas of our Oulsnam sales offices.

Kings Heath is well known for its character Victorian terraced properties.  It’s no surprise, therefore, that the majority of houses sold last year were terraced homes.  Interestingly, the average price of a terraced house was £219,334, whilst semi-detached properties in Kings Heath were not too far above this at £237,146.*. Perhaps this price difference is down to largely better parking availability for semi-detached homes, even if they may not afford quite the same desirability in the aesthetics of the property.

According to Rightmove, house prices were up 7% year on year, and a whopping 17% up on 2016.

Kings Heath is benefitting from government investment in rail transport, as well as continuing to develop its community centric vibe.  There are a number of independent festivals and events throughout the year, which make Kings Heath a vibrant and engaging place to live.

Our Oulsnam Kings Heath sales office is quite convinced that the remainder of 2019 will continue to see sustained house prices.  And, if the last two years are anything to go by, it might be a good idea to invest now, if you’re looking to put down roots in the area!
