New houses for sale see rise in price, says report

New houses for sale in the UK rose in price in November 2010,
according to recent findings.
SmartNewHomes.com reported yesterday (December 20th 2010) that the
average cost of a new property grew by four per cent over the
month.
This is despite 1,714 newly built houses coming on to the market
during November.
The report showed that this increase in value took the average
price to £220,654 by the end of the month, while findings also
revealed that the cost of new properties for sale grew by 1.1 per
cent over the last year.
Potential homeowners will find there are a number of new houses for
sale available at the moment, as there has been three times as many
put on the market between September and November, compared with the
previous three-month period.
This news about the surge in price of new builds comes just a week
after Communities and Local Government revealed that house values
in the UK increased by 5.5 per cent over the past year.
